We are starting our conversations for the TES art auction.  My class has decided to complete a sand art project.  We need donations of regular fruit loops.  If you can help, please send the cereal to school with your child.  I would like to begin the project on Thursday.

Our class silent auction basket theme is "Aloha".  Any donation of new and unused objects centered around this theme would be greatly appreciated.  I will send a letter home later in the week outlining times, dates, and suggestions for donations.  This auction makes a noticable positive difference in the education of kids at TES.  So, THANK YOU ALL in advance.

The website IXL changed all student usernames to their regular server login name @ tenino.  For example, my user name would be 19mccarthyh@tenino, pretty simple change.  Their password for IXL would remain the same as it has been since September.

The last day of the quarter in January 27, 2012.  This will be the final day for any AR quiz.  I will accept make-up and late homework no later than Friday, January 20, 2012.  Rmember you can always check your child's grades on Skyward.

This unit's math concepts on decimals and division seem to be very challenging for my students.  I find myself having to modify and adjust the assignments or lessons to fit student learning pace.  The assignments and lessons planned for the week will most likely be modified, adjusted, or excluded depending upon how far we get.  I would rather have student understanding instead of maintaining the curriculum's perscribed pace.  Please refer to your child's planner for the most current assignment.  Thank you for your support and understanding.
